← Snowdonia Marathon Eryri

A road marathon but not like any other. Scenery was outstanding and the ascents and descents were something else. Considering how rural the route was, supporters came and cheered at every opportunity. The Marshalls were great. They had thought of everything. When the route moved to open roads there were Marshalls at both bends to warn drivers and runners. The water stops were perfectly spaced and the water containers were just spot on in terms of size. No waste from bottles which you see at other races. My only negative is the registration process. It's quite restrictive and holding times meant I was holding in a queue for an hour, this did mean I was late for work but it was worth it. A tweak for next year would be great. Car parking was fairly manic and maybe a park and ride system could help with reducing cars.
