Running a 5 and a half lap Half Marathon isn't something I'd normal enjoy but doing it at a motor circuit made it a very unique experience. The crowd support and water station was along the finishing straight. Each lap was pretty flat and normally you'd be able to keep a consistent pace but on this occasion the wind slowed us down for about half the lap and was really calm for the other half. There wasn't mcuh of an event village and very limited food options which wasn't great given that we arrived during the morning for a noon start time. The changes planned for next year all sound really positive and should help this event to improve and build upon a good first year.
