This was a very scenic and well organised race. Although there was no unique landscape feature, the course was entirely on pretty country lanes , all of which were closed to traffic. Registration was superb due to efficient officials and a table of iPads where you logged your arrival. The hub of the event was a village sports and social club where, after the race, you could get a massage and watch the winners' prize presentations. The feel of the event was local and friendly despite there being over 600 participants. The start was about half a mile from the parking and I enjoyed walking in a crocodile to the start with everyone else. It was a rainy morning and it was possible for spectators to see the runners off and then wait in the club until it was time to be at the finish line to see us come back in. Hot drinks and some food were available throughout, and the rain-drenched runners could easily get changed into dry clothes afterwards. There were plenty of parking and toilets, as well as free photographs. The goody bag was a drawstring nylon bag containing a chocolate flapjack and the medal; I liked the simplicity of the goodies in return for a lower price than I have paid at other races. I would do this race again.
