This was my first race based slap bang in the middle of central London and it didn't disappoint. Despite the rain had some great pre-race chats with strangers, I love how friendly runners are even when your running by yourself. No issues dropping off my bag and the way to the start pens were clearly marked and the pacer were easy to spot. The route itself is great the first half heading off out the park into the city and the second half twisting through Hyde park itself. Nice flat roue great for those looking for a pb. Course a little narrow at times but it never felt too busy. Support was great especially when you hit the second half, some awesome cheering stations and a great lead up to the finish. My only gripe was some of the water stations you were given cups instead of bottles and it is just too difficult to drink out of a cup whilst running and you end up choking on the water a little - also the goody bags at the end would be much better if they were pre-made up as it would lessen the queues and stop you missing out on some of the swag! All in all a great race and definitely one to do if you want a taste of running in the capital on closed roads!
