The first thing I would say was that traffic was horrific heading into Windsor for this event. It was all event traffic and not usual traffic. The time I left was aiming to get there for was easily getting there one hour before but ended up getting there 5 mins before the start. It was pretty packed at the start and the first half a mile or so is pretty congested so it'll take a while to get into your stride. I knew before that the course was supposed to be hilly but after completing the first lap of two I didn't think it was overly bad but then lap two headed into a different direction and it was a lot more challenging I found. There is a nice downhill section at the halfway point and then for the last mile heading towards the setting of Windsor castle in the background which is pretty special. The medal and t-shirt were good but I didn't hang around for much else to avoid any of the traffic heading home again.
