← Chicago Marathon
This was my third major and 6th Marathon. If you want a flat and fast destination marathon then Chicago is for you. The biggest 'hill' is at 26mi, it's more a ramp onto a bridge into the finish funnel so you are already over the pain and sprinting for the finish. The crowd support was ace, the whole of chicago comes out to support the event and it's a wall of noise through 29 neighbourhoods and passing the 4 sports stadiums. As with all the majors, Chicago is a lottery which usually opens mid October for 4 weeks.
