This is the first time I've ever done Bournemouth Half and I absolutely loved it. It has an early start so it's not for a later riser but walking to the start pen amid an autumn sunrise was lovely- if not rather chilly and you were finished by lunchtime. Race numbers are posted out to make arriving on the day nice and simple. Bags are handed in and driven to the finish for collection. Loads of loos at the start too. The route was stunning taking in most of the coast line although there is a cheeky hill around mile 8/9. The medal was fab, as was the t shirt and the lovely box it's given to you in. My only criticisms would be the finish funnel was quite disorganised and I missed out on some bits and pieces and the use of water in bottles was a bit wasteful having done other races with paper cups I don't really see the need for bottles unless it's a bit day and you want to keep it with you between water stations. Will definitely enter this again. The atmosphere from start to finish was amazing.
