For a local, partial road closed half it was really well organised and not too expensive to enter. Entering was an easy process and as your race number is posted out all you need to do on race day is turn up. There was well sign posted and ample parking just a short walk to the start/race village. Plenty of toilets and a lovely atmosphere. The start has markers of where to start depending on your planned finish time. The route is a single lap, which is pretty much flat all the way round but because it's mostly country lanes there is little or no support after about mile 2 until mile 12 and once everyone spaced out a bit it was quite lonely. Water was supplied in pods made from a seaweed extract so absolutely no plastic waste and although took a bit of getting used to were quite good. The race village on completion had a wonderful atmosphere and as it's in the sports club grounds there also a bar should you want to rehydrate over a pint. All in all a decent half, but for me the lack of local support made it tough going.
