Overall, I really enjoyed this event as my first half marathon and would consider running it again. While it was quite quiet for most of the course, the people who did spectate and cheer on were great sports! The majority of the marshals were fantastic. I was sick metres from the finish line and my friends came over to see if I was ok well away from the finish line as they obviously couldn't come to see me on the actual course. I did get a very grumpy lady tell us all off which wasn't the best end to the day, especially when it was quiet at the finish line at this point and I clearly needed some support. Other than that one unfortunate interaction it was great.

Overall great half marathon. Good parking spaces, great route, traffic free, and many more but it could have been much better with few more adds on like portable toilet need bit more so that queue can go faster, route distance according to my garmin watch it was almost 200m extra but my watch can be wrong, need more nutritional things after run banana alone is not enough, a free race photos could have bring few more runners, energy bar or gel in at least one station. It was really great to participate in the event.

Lots of marshals, well marked course with people out to support as well. Paper cups and the option to not receive anything at the end which I would like to see more races do!

This was my first half marathon and I thoroughly enjoyed it. All the staff were incredibly friendly and the Marshalls were so encouraging which was needed! It was a really well organised event and will be a new yearly race!

A friendly, well-managed event with great facilities and amenities - I was really impressed overall. Given not every rural road was able to be closed, safety was exceptionally well-managed with well-informed marshals on the pinch points - I never felt at risk or even in the way! A couple of minor points: details could have gone out in emails a little sooner; there were plastic cups rather than paper ones on one or two drinks stations; and there was one very narrow cut-through in the final km which felt like a bit of a bottleneck.
