← The School Run Calverley Leeds

Calverley School Run was a trail race organised by It's Grim Up North, with profits going to the local school. Race featured 5K or 10k options. I entered the 10k race. Registration and number collection were nice and easy and there was a good pre-race atmosphere. 10k route was on decent paths. It had a super-fast start through a wooded area and onto canal paths. It then had a hilly finish. Water station with cupped water was at the half way point. Marshals were awesome, as always. Finishers received a lovely medal and small finishers bag. There was also plenty of finish line cake to enjoy. In summary - Excellent race, interesting course and very good value. It's a race I will certainly do again. The event also raised over £1,400 for the school, which is absolutely fantastic. Thank you IGUN and the marshals for a brilliant evening.
