← Castle Howard - Run Series
This was my 4th half marathon but my first off-road. I know Castle Howard well so loved the opportunity to run and explore.
The heat made the run very hard, and it was my slowest time for a half however I was well prepared. With the heat I did wonder if a competitor ran into trouble if the Marshals were close enough but the weather was extreme. The feed stations were the best I’ve seen; so well stocked with lots of choice. The cola at 14km was amazing. The race brief was great - to the point, friendly and fun.
The free activities were great for keeping the kids amused whilst they awaited my finish. The facilities were great.
So, I will be back and next year I’ll wear some trail shoes!
