First time this race has been done. Organisation was good - I saw some queues for later events so perhaps something for organisers to look at for future - but fairly swift for me. Also there were loads of other triathalon events that day and we were told to arrive early - it all worked fine for me.

There was a round of applause after the race briefing - well deserved too. Simple, clear and thorough.

The race started on time which is always a good sign.

An undulating course over trails around the estate. In many places it was quite beautiful. It was a scorching hot day and a good portion of the course had shade, which was very welcome. 

There were 2 water / gel stations and a feed station on the 10k ish loop - which is perhaps the most I’ve ever seen (and no one use bottles either - it all worked well).

Beware the cheeky hill towards the end of each lap.

Results were on a text shortly after crossing the finish. At the finish there was a super well stocked refreshments - banana, orange segments, water Mellon, waffles, cake, loads, water, coke - one of the best I’ve seen.

Medal was nice - and hopefully if enough have done the race the more can be done on the medal for next year - and hopefully an option to buy a t-shirt as they only had Tri branded on the day.

Well organised, challenging, scenic and enjoyable - likely to enter for next year - please order some less brutal weather.
