On a day of glorious sunshine, blue skies, and just a little too much heat, this was an excellent, well-organised event.
Other runners chatting meant I couldn't hear the race brief at first, but it was repeated in summary just before we set off.
Beautiful scenery all around, rolling countryside with views to bigger hills further away.
Well stocked checkpoints with water, juice, jelly babies, and other treats.
Friendly marshalls, keeping an eye on runner wellbeing in the heat, providing updates on world cup scores, generally being awesome.
Excellent welcome at the finish, followed by more water, juice, cake. Lovely medal. And a bbq for those that wanted it.
Great value for money from a friendly run organiser team that genuinely care about their runners and making people feel welcome.
