← Vitality London 10,000

Great day, great race, great event!

Having failed to get into the London Marathon, this was an easy option for me to pick.  The starting pen in the shadows of Buckingham Palace, and running around the streets of London, it was an amazing experience.

Very well organised for runners and spectators.  Loads of spectators all the way around the course, music and cheers at every corner.

It was a hot morning which didn't help chasing a PB, but the course was very flat which kind of made up for the heat.

This was the first time I have run this race and didn't really expect the high number of runners, around 15,000 taking part .  This made the first half of the race very difficult to overtake and get a rhythm going.

The event village at Green Park was excellent and a great way to chill out, they had stuff for the kids to do.  They also had a couple of interviews with the winning runners, Mo Farah and Steph Twell.
