I love this race and have done it for several years.  Very well organised; motivational music at the start; Jess Ennis-Hill to see us off.  It's lovely and flat and it takes you on a fab route through my home city that I hardly ever get to run because of the cars.  There is just one problem: I was stuck in the orange wave and it was very crowded.  For the first 5km the only way to keep running was sometimes to leap onto the pavement.  The course narrows quite a few times and there were people who not unreasonably wanted to run with their mate but that meant that it was quite hard to find a way through and there were quite a few of us struggling to find a decent gap to run in.  The last 5km were easier as things started to spread out.  This is probably always going to be a favourite 10km because of the course but I think the organisers need to think about the numbers or give us more running room on the course.

Nice tee shirt and medal in the goody bag and plenty of entertainment in Green Park after the race.
