← MK Marathon Weekend
The MK Marathon was full of support from locals, including running group the ‘Redway Runners’ who turned out in droves to support not only their friends but everyone on the course which was a fantastic boost.
The start of the race was a maze over the first few miles around the centre of Milton Keynes and is the only logistical part that was slightly disappointing. That done, the rest of the course was scenic, with some inclines to keep it interesting.
With this year’s record temperatures, a few more cooling stations would have been better, as would the addition of some rehydration salts to help the first timers.
The stadium finish, quality of medals, organisation and app were great, as was the immediate text with your time when crossing the finish line.
I’ll definitely look to run this one again.
