My first Marathon yesterday and in that heat- what a killer! A lovely route although challenging at times- who knew MK was so scenic? I loved the finish. Massive thanks to the locals and everyone out on the course, I literally lost count of the amount of people out with hoses, water pistols, jelly babies, people shouting your name out. A lady in one park even handed me and another lady an ice pop! Another lady stood with sun cream trying to stop people burning in the immense heat. I knew around 9 miles that my time wouldn’t be achievable so I slowed it down and just enjoyed it, lots of lovely chatty people on the route. Everyone looking out for each other- lovely to see. MK I’ll be back
