This is a review of the half and although the day was incredible hot I will try and keep this review about the race and not the hot weather!
Booking and email comms before the event were spot on.
On the day I booked parking at the bowl but this is a long walk (nearly 2 miles) to the stadium and there seemed to be plenty of free parking available a lot closer.
Using the stadium as a base for the race meant the facilities were great and no portaloos which is a bonus. Bag drop etc were well organised and smooth.
The actual race was great with about 10k round the centre of MK and then the half runners turned off for around 6 miles through the parks and countryside of Milton Keynes. The last 500 metres are inside the stadium round the pitch which is a nice finish and even made me find a sprint finish.
Out on the course water was plentiful although I only saw one gel station on the half route. Support was great and I think every child and most adults seem to own water pistols in Milton Keynes.
Goody bag was nice and medal and t shirt were great.
Also worth mentioning they have a kids superhero race and plenty of activities and entertainment round the stadium to keep them entertained.
Think I will go back next year when hopefully it's not as hot as I think the course has on potential.
