What I thought was going to be a pretty quiet race turned out to be very busy. It was nice and relaxed at the start, although the queue for the toilets was very long (12 toilets for over 2000 people) delaying the start of the race by a few minutes.
The route is mostly on tarmac with a short section of trail running. Considering the recent rain the trails weren't too muddy. There did seem to be an awfully lot of runners for the course and at points it was very congested as we all set off together it was difficult to get around in the beginning.
Overall I would take part again, it is a nice local race for me with some good hills to test the legs with nice scenery. Let's hope they have a few more toilets next year.
