Blenheim is a lovely event with a beautiful undulating course that isn't too taxing making it perfect for the whole family but it is very busy and this needs looking at , perhaps with walkers starting at the back and a staggered start as there was a lot of congestion on course and at the start . Spectators need to be kept clear of the course along the start and finish and finish line as many were impeding runners , more toilets also desperately needed . The parking getting in was fine but getting out was very difficult

What I thought was going to be a pretty quiet race turned out to be very busy. It was nice and relaxed at the start, although the queue for the toilets was very long (12 toilets for over 2000 people) delaying the start of the race by a few minutes. The route is mostly on ta...

The route is mostly on tarmac with a short section of trail running. Considering the recent rain the trails weren't too muddy. There did seem to be an awfully lot of runners for the course and at points it was very congested as we all set off together it was difficult to get around in the beginning.

Overall I would take part again, it is a nice local race for me with some good hills to test the legs with nice scenery. Let's hope they have a few more toilets next year.

This was my second time at the Blenheim 7k.

A scenic hilly 7.5km run in the grounds of Blenheim Palace. A small portion of the run was on trails, but mostly on the closed roads of the palace grounds.

There is a 4mile route for buggy and wheelchair racers, and a 1 mile run for juniors.

It's a friendly atmosphere with helpful marshalls.

The start was delayed due to mass queuing for the toilets.....(12 toilets for 2.5K competitors, supporters, staff)
