This review only covers the point to 33.9 miles where I missed the cutoff and was timed out.
The only rating I gave as less that 5/5 was for local support. It is a relatively remote trail so very few people but walkers and hikers were all friendly.
The course is stunning, the organisation excellent and the event has a lovely feel to it. The hils are brutal and just relentless but what's not to like about a trail run overlooking the Sussex countryside? Aid stations were amazing with friendly, happy and caring folks to meet your needs. They made me feel like a real athlete despite me bringing up the rear.
Course markings were simple (of the part I saw) and so never had to rely on maps or the like even when I was running on my own with no-one in sight.
Will I come back and try again? Yes. Will it likely hurt? Probably!
