I have run a lot of half marathons so feel I’m well placed to be critical if the race deserves it. Let’s start with the price which for 13.1 miles is extortionate when you consider there are fully fuelled ultras at slightly more money. So with Landmarks your money was spent on a shirt, medal, oversized drinks (the wastage annoys the hell out of me) and closing London roads.

The baggage drop was a joke, why not send out baggage tags with the race packs rather than doing them one by one, this slowed things massively.

If you are organising a race with 10,000 people you would think more than about 20 portaloos would be a good idea. Also in central London you need more on the course I spotted 4!!! After 5 miles.

These big races really have become about ‘Money’ the race organisers would have taken well over half a million £ and I honestly cannot see where it was spent. Somebody certainly did well.

If nothing more they could at least by smaller sport drinks, 500ml bottles than 95% of runners throw 400ml away. Poor race
