← London Landmarks Half Marathon

I signed up for this so long ago that I can't remember how easy it was! I saw it advertised and thought- perfect - a HM in my own town. After that I signed up for subsequent HM and a full marathon, so it wasn't the PB attempt I had initially planned. However it wasn't snowing and it wasn't cancelled, so that was a bonus.

I enjoyed running in London - past lots of landmarks, but the route did mess with my head a little bit! You do feel like you are running in circles a little bit. There are numerous switchbacks, which can make it a bit dangerous at times- one lady swerved right out in front of me.

It is pretty flat though, so that was a good thing.

There were four water stations and I think two had lucozade as well.

Lots of support on the course from different charity cheer points and general family spectators. I guess it was easy to move around the course and spot runners multiple times. I don't know though as I was flying solo for this one.

Bag drop was well organised, but quite far away from the finish. I didn't have to queue at either end.

The medal is lovely- very pleased with the bling, and the zip pocket sweatband is something I might actually use!
