← TTP Cambridge Half Marathon

This was my 4th time running the race and it was as enjoyable as all previous ones. Park and ride worked well and we arrived at the start area around 0715 for a 0930 wave start. Plenty of toilets and the bag drop area much improved after last years problems.

It eas very cold waiting around but foils were provided for those that wanted them.

A stagered wave start improved access at the start and led to less crowds in the first mile.

The route was well laid out with Marshalls doing a great job. As you can imagine it is a scenic course through Cambridge out into the villages and then back through the city to the finishing area on the green.

The feed stations at every 2.8 Miles had water and gels, plenty of helpers meaning no panic. Goody bag and medal at the end and Erdinger Alkoholfrei worth doing the run itself!

The Park and Ride was slow on the return as the road closures were still in effect but sitting in the warm made up for this

I will be back next year to see if I can get nearer to my Cambridge PB of 1:37. It is a fast course just a little too cold for that this year.

One everyone should look at, it sells out very quickly though!
