This year they fixed the start procedure and provided enough water in plastic bottles. A cooler day than last time meant there appeared to be less casualties. It’s still not really the race for a mid pack pb because of the narrow streets and big crowds. Three observations : - If you advertise women only toilets at the start you should have some staff managing the queues and directing us blokes to the right line. - It is unacceptable to run out of medals and send later finishers off with no rewards for their efforts. The event organiser has commented on the BBC news report but, as yet, they have not sent out an email explanation and apology. I thought they were slow to respond to the water problem last time but this year the response is even worse. - However, the quiet tent is a nice idea. Perhaps this could be expanded to further accommodate runners who have sensitivity to noise and crowds.

Much better organised than last year. Felt like a whole step up in terms of the start and finish organisation, and also the water stations along the route. Plenty of marshals in attendance and fantastic spectator support. Will be back to run it again next year
