← Glorious Gargrave - Leeds Liverpool Canal
It's Grim Up North Running run events from 5k's to Ultras - all on the same day! Gargrave is a village just north of Skipton in North Yorkshire. The event takes place along the canal so the surface can be uneven in places. I entered the half marathon but tweaked my calf after 4 miles so made the decision to finish at 10k. As a friend was doing the marathon, I had a few hours to spare. So, off I went to the adjoing pub, got a pint of lager, then volunteered handing out medals and cooking on the BBQ. (As well as eating the cakes that are always on offer at these events). An event well worth entering!
