The format of Maverick events are quite similar to each other so it is always familiar. The route is well marked although I still had the route on my watch just in case as we have experienced markers being removed or turned the wrong way in the past. The Cotswolds route would be great for beginner trail runners as it is not technical. In fact, with the dry conditions, it could be run in road shoes. There are enough hills to be of some challenge for all ranges of runners though. The outpost was well stocked with snacks like crisps and biscuits and different types of Precision Hydration products e.g. gels, chews, caffeine. The volunteers are cheerful and supportive. The event village is great as there are quite a few stalls from coffee to clothing. Even sun cream dispensers as they partner with Life Jacket. At the finish you can take a medal, Tenzing drink and non-alcoholic beer. I didn't take a medal but I don't think Maverick partner with Trees not Tees so I would like to see this in the future.

Very well organised event with fantastic support from marshals. Well planned route which was challenging but enjoyable. Ideally the Ultra course might have had an extra aid station as 27.5 to 41.5km was quite a big gap.
