← The Harry Hawkes Summer Raceday

I was recommended the Harry Hawkes 10 by members from the UK Runchat community, as I was looking for a race distance between 10k and half marathon. There was ample parking nearby and the race village was easy to reach. There weren't enough toilets for the number of runners entered so there was a bit of a queue right up to the start of the race. The course itself was fairly flat and scenic, going along parts of the Thames and near Hampton Court. The water stations used cups so you couldn't take the water with you and I had to stop at one of them as the cups weren't quite ready so it slightly disrupted my run. Other than that it was a nice first 10 mile race for me.
