← Worthing Running Festival

I love running at the seaside as the sea air seems so clean.

Registering for this race was easily done on line.

The numbers, timing chip and traveling directions came through the post roughly two weeks before the race.

We stayed at The Premier Inn so we had parking covered while we were in Worthing. On talking to others they said there was plenty of parking around. Some free and some you had to pay for.

We went to the Pier where we were met by lots of excited happy runners, all eager to get started.

The start line was roughly 300 meters from the Pier and as it is not the biggest race there was room for us to have a warm up before we started.

The course went down the seafront and turned into the town. Once you had gone through the town you were back onto the sea front.

There were plenty of marshals cheering you around the course and making sure you stayed on the correct route and lots of local support too.

The course is relatively flat although you did have quite a few twist and turns, so it may not be perfect for a PB attempt but well worth giving it a go.

There were 3 water stops and plenty of toilets around the course and at the start/finish line.

As it's not the busiest of races getting through the finish line was easy, picking up your wonderful medal and goody bag.

It is a well run and very friendly race with a lovely route and medal.

I signed up for 2018 as soon as it opened and I'm very excited to be running this race again.
