Frist time doing the half marathon here and with the recent rain was a toss up between road shoes and trail. Went with the road shoes but the course was very much a trail course with only a minimal section on road.

Registration was good and the start was well managed with people putting themselves into waves. Worked at the front of the racem didn't see further back. 

The run itself was managed with good signposting. Where the various courses merged it didn't feel too busy and somehow people were running at the same pace.

Medal was nice. Goody bag left a to to be desired with just some water, a non brand energy drink, a banana and some suncream.

Logistic wise, we get there at about 8.30 but that was after a mile queue from Lyndhurst. Even with the parking being relativley efficent was still a slow process. Car parking of £3 seemed a little tight after paying for entry. Think the organisers missed a trick by offering a shuttle service from train station that was more than car parking. Made a quick exit post race and missed the traffic out.
