← Englefield 10k

What an amazing place to complete a 10k! I'm the sort of person who prefers to run early doors so was a little hesitant when the run did not begin until 11am. However when I turned up I was surprised by the amazing beauty of the area. Unfortunately for me it was a stunning and very hot day which I never find easy to run in. The race was multi terrain so was quite tough when running in fairly long grass. A lot of debris a long the way so I was often looking down to avoid nettles, twigs and deer poo however marshals had clearly marked low trees/branches with red and white tape which was really helpful. Being a hot day I struggled with the heat and often seeing hills infront of me but apart from the voice in my head telling to walk the hills I had a good run. I took in the stunning views, enjoyed no cars and two water stations. Another bonus was the downhill start and downhill finish. All in all a great 10k and well organised.
