I absolutely loved doing this 4 race 5K series

Set across 4 different venues with Northamptonshire - all in country parks with no traffic and great views.

Race 1 - Irchester country park - this was a really lovely course to start things off. All on hard track woodland trails, it's a tough hilly course but I really enjoyed it none the less.

Race 2 - Salcey forest - again another race set in the woods, following woodland tracks again. A fairly flat 1 lap course

Race 3 - brixworth country park - this time running around the edge of Pitsford water, this one has a little grass bit in a field but apart from that it's all Woodland tracks. This one is a bit hilly at the start but after that it totally flattens out

Race 4 - delapre abbey - the final race takes place in the parkland of this lovely estate. The first 1/2 mile of this route is on the grass, then its into the woods where there was a few hidden tree routes and it was a quite twisty course. But again a flat race which ran around the edge of the lake and was beautiful.

I signed up for all 4 of these races in one go, because of this I got a race t shirt at the first race. Then at each event you get a 1/4 of a medal which at the end makes a full medal, a fab idea and great incentive to turn up to them all. Although you had to pay for parking at 3 of the 4 events, I really can't recommend this race series enough. Will 100% be back next year
