As this is the cakeathon, there was a competition for the different cakes that had been made the runners & spectators. There are some talented bakers out there. 

The race briefing was like other SVN events with outline of the route & any achievements people had made. 

The course itself isn't the most exciting, there is a pond, some statues & often see the eurostar & HS1 train. It is a slightly undulating course but nothing too horrible. 

This is a timed event, & as such at the end of each lap you have to decide if you want to continue & get your card stamped or ring the bell & finish. At the end of each lap, there is an aid station & loads of amazing cake. If you decide to finish then there is an epic medal & goody bar with chocolate, crisps & beer. 

These events are great fun, relaxed with great support, but often you eat more calories than your run off.
