This was my 1st SVN event, & within walking distance from my house. 

The event is much like the other SVN events with a race briefing highlight the course & any achievements that people have made. 

The course it's self is beautiful, with amazing views over the north downs, being it was january there wasn't any flowers out, but still lovely. When the event started the ground was hard as it had been icy, however as the day went on it got more & more muddy. As it was over the north downs it is a hilly course, but the views make up for it, there is also a lovely detour to visit darnley mausoleum each lap. 

This event is a timed event, so each lap you will get stamp on your card & visit the aid station for cake, etc or you ring the bell & call it a day. Once you finish you get an epic medal & a goody bag with chocolate, crisps & beer. This event forms a series of events with a different medal each season, these have now been changed to interlock & form a circle.
