After running this as my first ultra in 2016, I wanted to go back in 2017 to see how much I had improved, plus it's a great little event too!

I like this event as it is open to all abilities whether you are a front of the pack runner or a walker, as there are no cut offs. Unlike other events, they set the walker off first (8am), then the runners (9am) then the faster runners (10am), this means that the walkers get to see a lot of other entrants on the course, rather than being at the back all the time. It also means you never actually know where you are in the field as you don't know when people started!

Aid stations are well stocked, loved the cocktail sausages, sausage rolls, chocolate brownies and the coke at the final station was very welcome!!

Coffee and cake at the finish was great too and the medals were top quality.

Loved the course and it's very well marked, just a brilliant event. Topped off by getting a massive PB over the previous year....all in all a top day!
