This event was a local event to me & the 1st time it was being held as a 5 mile race.
There was lots of parking available.
Race numbers & timing chips were collected on the day, & the process was quick & easy.
The race was advertised as flat but it was definitely undulating, however the scenery was stunning & there was cooling castle to go past.
There was loads of marshalls out on the course, all of them doing an amazing job & encouraging all runners. I was near the back & they were all still enthusiastic. There was members of the public out cheering too, with 1 family had set up a hose pipe as a shower, which was needed as it was a hot day.
There was 1 water stop, at the half way point which had bottles of water.
At the finish (which was at the same place as the start), there was medals, bottles of water & your chip was removed. There was also epilepsy selling tea, coffee, cake & bacon sandwiches.
Ovrall it was an enjoyable event with great support & all organised.
