I ran this race as part of a team of 4, while the entry fee does seem steep, it does cover your camping too, from Friday through Sunday.

There is a festival feel to the event, with a DJ, various supplier stands and a food tent as well as a bar!! The food is reasonably priced, they could easily charge stupid amounts for food as they know you are there for the weekend, but prices are good.

Everything seemed to run smoothly, portaloos, of which there were plenty, were emptied at regular times so they were not disgusting like at some races. Showers were good, but some are hit and miss and the one I used on the Sunday had freezing cold water!!

The transition area works really well and seems a bit surreal when you are waiting in there in the rain at 3:40am waiting for your team mate to pass over to you, while a bunch of other runners wait around for exactly the same thing!!

The route is nice, but hilly with a couple of drinks stations on the way around supplying Lucozade, water and SOS. The medal is huge and the tech t-shirt good quality.

I'll definately be back!!
