← Two Castles Run

So this is my 3rd time of running the two castles. This is a 10km course that can be challenging there are a lot of hills or at least it feels like it. If you want something a little more challenging it's a good course and I actually enjoy the hills they are short.

this year they ran a ballot as is a very popular course and I believe approx 4000 people take part.

Beautiful views along the way and lovely to start in one castle and finish in another. The event is well marshalled with lots of toilets (always important). There are km markers and water stations are sign posted. The roads are closed so no traffic to worry about and plenty of space

there are three water water stations along the route however one of them today unhelpfully removed the sports cap so ended wearing a lot of the water lol (might not be a bad thing was warm)

lots of local suppport cheering you on handing out goodies along the way even when I have done it in the rain.

The finish is is a bit of a bottle neck but once through the finish you are very quickly moved to goodie bag with a t-shirt and medal, you also get a water and snack bar (yummy)

this course i really enjoy and love the hills running from Warwick castle to kenilworth castle is lovely through the countryside. I will be back next year
