This is the second time I have done the epic ullswater swim did the mile last year but as I'm training for ironman opted for the 3.8k this year.

i really like the epic swim series have done all 3 and have nothing but good things to say they really are some of my favourite events, there's something quite surreal and relaxing about bobbing about in some of the best lakes in the country.

the relaxing bit soon changes as they set you off not before everyone sings the national anthem, nice little touch I think.

Buoys are big and easy enough to spot course is always easy to follow, and as always marshals friendly and really helpful, even recognise a few from previous events. 

In all great event great day out, with good catering and few little events for the spectators, great value for money too, another epic event that I will be attending next year.
