← Tough Mudder Half - Midlands

Signing up to this event I was sceptical but also really excited, it didn’t disappoint.

Yes it is quite expensive to enter but the headband, T Shirt, Trek bar, bottle of water and bottle of cider at the end more than make up for it. The things I did not agree with were the £10 for each spectator to come in and watch, because of this support around the course from people watching was very small. But I think you are so caught up in the course and support from fellow entrants that this does not matter too much. Also £10 to park the car is a little bit steep as well, I am not sure what the premium parking got you, all off 200 yards closer to the entrance! The £3 bag drop was also a little steep, however this does go to charity so I didn’t mind that too much when I realised this.

So one to the course itself, the best fun you can have. Some challenging walls and the half pipe make this not a walk in the park, but the option to happily go around obstacles you don’t feel comfortable to take on make it appealing to all. Mud, mud and more mud! This is billed as not being a race and it totally had that feel about it. No one knocking you out the way to get a quick time, but everyone working together to ensure that everyone make it up and over obstacles safely.

This is a fab race to get you introduced to the world of OCR!
