I have done a few Runthrough races  mainly in the Olympic Park which have been great, this was no different.

Registering for the run was easy enough, the only issue I have is not being able to book for multiple people at the same time but it only takes a few extra minutes to make an additional booking. The run is value for money; with the stripped down cost there's no 'goody bag' or tech t-shirt but you do get juice, water, banana and a pretty yummy flapjack at the end...the cream egg for Easter was a pretty nice touch too! 

The information provided pre run was comprehensive with clear timings and directions; getting to the start was straightforward enough. We picked up our race packs at the start which had an organised system and prevented the annoyance of relying on the post to get race packs etc There was a small 'event village' with a well staffed bag drop, coffee shop, physio/massage stand and merch stand and the single most important thing at any event...enough toilets! 

The run itself was nice - flat course which, although open to the public, was pretty easy to navigate around. I love running around Victoria Park anyway with its wide walkways, canal and greenery and doing it in an event setting was great. There were tonnes of clearly very experienced runners taking part but equally as many who were less so which made for a nice mix and plenty of space for all to do their thing. 

After the run free photos and timings appeared on FB pretty quickly. I'm always impressed that you can usually spot yourself at least once in the photos which are of good quality considering they are free. 

The atmosphere Runthrough create at their events is always good and this was no different; the marshalls, registration, drinks station, bag drop staff etc were all friendly. On the whole it's a professional well organised set-up that doesn't take itself too seriously and allows people with a variety of running experience and aspiration to enjoy the camaraderie of an event. 

Overall....an excellent value, well organised event in a great setting!
