my first marathon would be Manchester in 2014 which ended up NOT being a marathon being short. I was plagued with injury and was running for BHF so felt obliged to run it. I had been battling plantar fasciitis so from mile 18 it was very painful. I managed to cross the line in 4:15 and was quite emotional at the end.
