My 1st run in the Silverstone Half as part of training for London marathon,

Organisation overall was great, plenty of Marshalls, particularly out on the course, they were fab - maybe I'm biased as my local club Redway Runners from MK provided a team of volunteers to help on day,  baggage excellent

Be prepared for trek to & from car parks which was worse after the race as everyone tried to leave & made to single file out to car parks & no Marshalls directing in the 1 I was in, took nearly hour to get out. 

I felt the course lacked atmosphere & although there was some music on the way round I found it really tough & could have done with a bit more and I didn't see any of promised bands, just big speakers & a DJ Playing in back of a jeep! 

Water/hydration stations well stocked but sometimes weren't ready for the runners, struggling to open shrink wrapped pallets of bottles meaning runners bunched up waiting 

Overall, its a good race, personally not my thing & wouldn't do it again but if you are a motor racing fan, you will love it for the opportunity to see Silverstone for yourself in a slightly diff way
