Incredible Marathon, a lot if these City Marathons will have you running out of town or going back and forth around industrial sites killing up the miles. Not Rome, it is basically a tour guide of the city.

OK the Expo is a bit of a srum for the famous Rome Marathon Backpack, but we are better at Rugby so that is no issue.

As it starts next to the awesome Coliseum getting to the start on race morning is very well served by transport.

Bag drops close by and simple to find.

Now being a European marathon once the starting pens get full expect someone around squat and pee any old how.  Hey it's the continent.  :) Paris no different.

Then you are off.  My advice, forget about a time and enjoy the city.  Good support around most the route, building up around the landmarks and the finish.

The sun was out this year and the city looked great.

I always admire the Rome Marathon medals and with a high quality shirt you get the full goodies... And a bag of Pasta? :)

Overall just excellent.
