← Adidas Manchester Marathon
This was the second time I had run this marathon as I had a a cracking time the year before. The lead up to the event, the communication was great with plenty of e-mails and social media.
The baggage drop on the morning was a little over-crowded, but I was in and out quick enough. There was no segregation between waves at the startline, so anyone could start anywhere. The mile markers were all over the place - they weren't a mile apart and there were two 22-mile markers. Then there was the baggage collection. There wasn't enough staff handing out the bags. I waited four hours to collect my bag and I heard others waiting longer.
I was a very flat course and the support was very good throughout. The aid stations were well stocked, plenty of marshalls and had the stuff you usually expect.
