This was my third race at Eton Dorney with Human Race and as ever they put on another fantastic event. It is a perfect location for a Tri, especially if you are new to the sport, as everything is off road and in one place. At the start of the race I met one of my all time sporting heroes Daley Thompson, one of Human Race's ambassador, he is great support to everyone trying this sport for the first time. The swim in Dorney rowing lake is great with great big inflatables to make it easy to see where you have to swim to. A short run to transition then off on the bike to do laps of the lake. This gives supporters a great opportunity to see you at all the different aspects of the race. The run is then an up and back run down the side of the lake before finishing with the crowds around you. I think Human Race are great race organisers and am sure I will be at their races again this coming season, but this time the longer distance.
