A fabulous event, the support from all around the course is second to none and it really helps inspire you to complete the event.

Tenby and Pembrokeshire are fully behind this event and it makes for a well organised and superbly run event, with no issues at all from what I could see.

Transition is great being on hard tarmac, though some extra carpeting would be nice where there were loose stones around the edge, it made running with bare feet a little bit painful.

Swim, great course in North Bay, buoys really easy to see even with the sun low in the sky, the rolling start worked very well and resulted in a pretty low contact swim. Only thing that might worry some athletes are the jellyfish, but these seemed to stay below you during the race. The run to T1 although long at around 1km is a great experience with massive crowds cheering you along the barrier lined route.

Bike, a fantastic course in beautiful countryside, even if the bike ride feels like a tough challenge the views make up for this in spades. The bike course is tough in terms of climbing, but the quality of the road surface is very good for a UK based event and it felt a real pleasure racing on closed roads. The climb up St Brides Hill in Saundersfoot is magical and the support here is just amazing, it makes the climb feel a lot nicer than it probably is, the best thing is you get to experience this twice, it just brings a smile to your face. Overall a challenging but satifying bike course, I could have quite happily done another lap.

Run, this is a bit of a toughie, though being 4 loops does make it mentally easy to break it down to more managible chunks. The run through the town is just awesome with the support, but the real tough bit is on leaving the town to make your way up towards New Hedges where you have just come down on the bike. There is about 3 miles of gradual uphill with a short steep part which does sap your legs, there isn't so many spectators here so does feel hardwork especially on the last couple of laps, but after this it is a pretty shallow climb to the turn point. The support is pretty good up here and the thought of a net downhill run back into the town feels you with some joy, though it isn't quite all downhill but it is quite fast coming back into town. The route around the town is also suprisingly lumpy but with the crowd support it doesn't feel quite as bad. Running within a 100m of the finish is a good touch as you always feel close to the action and the sight of the finishline does motivate you on your next lap.

Finish and After Event Care, the finishline is one of the best I have been across and massive amounts of spectators cheering you on. The athlete care afterwards is great, a huge amount of food and drink available and plenty of seating. The process of collecting you street bag was very easy.

Overall a great event to do and one that will leave a lasting memory. The support at this event is on a scale I have never seen it really is as good as others have reported.
