So the Maravan.....

Signed up for this as Ultra training run in 2020 but then COVID came and it was pushed back to 2021. All I knew was this was laps around a caravan park in Skegness.......yes your probably thinking the same.

Actually this race is brilliant and I will certainly be back for more, then do a double maravan on Saturday and Sunday which sounds great.

Nice e-mails before you arrive telling you all about the race logisitcs, turn up and start if you like or wait for 9.

We started at 8am so missed the race briefing but I suspect it was the normal stuff.

Cracking 3.7m course which is super flat and well directed, you cant get lost. As its laps, at the end of every lap you have an aid station with cakes, buscuits and teas and coffees handed out by friendly marshalls so brilliant. All chip timed as well, amazing marshalls they really were and great support when you finish. Nice goody bag, cracking medal, no t shirt im afraid but you do get a beer.......

Its a strange sounding race but it works, it really does, Darran and team put on a cracking event and we're be back again for sure - really great marathon.
