← The Hilly Helmet Challenge
Have just ran Hilly Helmet 5. As always, this event was magnificent! Great family friendly atmosphere, assisted by good marquee areas and mood music.
Fantastic course with climbs. I wore part trail shoes which gave me a decent grip on some of the muddy and rocky sections.
All the volunteers were outstanding, including all of the marshalls, from the car park, registration and on course, who all engaged really well and provided fantastic encouragement throughout.
Lovely locally hand crafted souvenir at the end.
Helmets, the more flamboyant/decorated/imaginative are encouraged , but more simple ones are absolutely fine,whatever you are comfortable with.
You can even wear fancy dress if you like.
Robin organised a thoroughly enjoyable evening, I would absolutely recommend this race!
