← Battle of the Brampton Valley Way
This was my first Ultra. Lovely day for the event.
Race briefing very good, parking fine. We walked to the start and went off in two's at the Market Harborough end. The 🚇 tunnels were VERY dark and you do need a very good 🔦torch/head torch for both of them twice. Route is flat, but I did find it a very compacted hard, dry ground to run on, and I did have to watch where I ran. I took my own water but there were water stops on route for which you needed to take your own cup. 🚰 There were other people using the route, this was not a problem, you just needed to keep an eye out for the odd fast bike. There is also carparks along the route where spectators can see you and then drive on to the next one.
Medal lovely, I paid extra for the t-shirt and collected it at the end. 😀
